Accelerating Computer Vision and Machine Learning Algorithms with SIMD Hardware
This talk isn't really about graphics processors at all. It's about a class of computing problems that currently impose limitations on cloud computing and for which GPUs offer one possible solution. Cloud computing performs SIMD on a macro scale. This talk focuses on micro scale SIMD of the sort required for video feature extraction, image transcoding, audio and speech processing, machine learning, etc.
